Surrey Gateway Shelter Care packages Project

CACTES Association Community Affairs Committee started a new local initiative to finish off the school year! We organized and donated hygiene care packages including bars of soap, socks and more to the Gateway Shelter in Surrey, BC. The Gateway Shelter is operated by a local non-profit charity, the Lookout Society, which manages for a number of shelters in the Greater Vancouver area. We are truly touched by the passionate workers at the shelter who understand and try their best to help people combat homelessness in our community. The shelter provides temporary beds at night for males and females, daily meals and free health check ups with professionals. Please visit their website at www.lookoutsociety.ca for more information about their shelters, services and the current homeless issue.  Thank you everyone for your continued support!
