Rules and Regulations
Video must be about one of the following topics: health, education or economy. The video must explain the topic, and how it affects our society today, what has been or is being done towards it, and why the topic is important to you. The main goal of this contest is to raise awareness of the topic you chose. The video can be from a minimum of 1 min to 2 minutes max. It can be done in teams of up to 3 people, but the amount of reward money will remain the same if a team happens to win a prize (i.e. there will be no $100 prize per team mate if they win first place, etc). A script/voiceover is welcomed, but not required. However, there must be a thorough explanation of the topic regardless of choice. (If a script is decided to be used, it must be originally written and submitted with the video since the judging panel will revise for plagiarism. Paraphrasing and quotations are allowed so long as the sources are cited). The video submissions must be submitted online on the CACTES Association website. We will not accept submissions after 12:00pm Monday, June 17th 2017.

The CACTES Association Video contest is open to all residents of the Greater Vancouver Area, British Columbia, Canada. Contestants must be in high school, from grade 8 to 12, in this current school year. The videos must be between 1 minute to 2 minutes, any format, with a theme of one of three pillars: health, education and economy. Before you submit the video you MUST like the CACTES association Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cactesassociation/). Let your creativity shine! CACTES Association reserves the right to reject any submissions deemed ineligible by the organization.
The contest entry period will begin on April 15th, 2017 and will terminate on June 17th, 2017 12:00 PM. (PST). Contestants can only participate in this contest if his/her video is submitted before June 17th, 2017 12:00PM (PST). Submissions after June 17th, 2017 12:00 PM (PST) will not be considered.
