Thank you to the City of White Rock and Richard Shen for making CACTES Association’s Water Walk possible.
The CACTES Association Water Walk took place in August 2014. The event’s aim was to raise awareness for the long periods that women and children of developing countries have to walk to fetch a bucket of water for their families. At the White Rock Beach, CACTES set up a water walk course and participants followed the path, carrying milk jugs full of water, to experience one aspect of life in a developing country.
Participants of all ages walked through the course with shining smiles and learned some cool facts about water. We would also like to thank all of the volunteers and participants who made this event both fun and meaningful.
